Product Application
  • Designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect against harsh, industrial environments.
  • For use as instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes or terminal wiring enclosures.
  • Impressive styling features make the Eclipse Junior Series a suitable addition to any high-tech equipment installation.
Product Construction
  • Body and cover are formed from 16-gauge steel.
  • Smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes.
  • Formed lip on enclosure to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants.
  • 14-gauge welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting.
  • Continuously hinged cover has 304 stainless steel hinges and provides 180-degrees opening.
  • Door latches feature the added safety of quarter turn slot requiring use of tool for opening.
  • Quarter turn latches formed from black zinc die-cast.
  • Seamless poured-in place gasket.
  • Models larger that 4" x 4" include a removable 14-gauge galvanized inner panels.
  • Internal threaded weld studs are provided for mounting inner panels.
  • A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is provided on the enclosure.
  • Grounding and panel mounting hardware provided.
Product Finish
  • Cover and enclosure are finished with a recoatable powder inside and out with a choice of ANSI 61 smooth grey (GY) or RAL 7035 textured light grey (LG).
  • Inner panels are unpainted galvanized steel.
Product Standards
  • UL 508A type 3R, 4, 12 and 13.
  • CSA type 3R, 4, 12 and 13.
  • Complies with:
    • NEMA type 3R, 4, 12 and 13.
    • IEC 60529 and IP66.

All customisation work is undertaken by the relevant supplier, (some smaller production runs are done by utilizing an outside contractor) at their own manufacturing facilities. These services include milling or punching holes and slots into the enclosure or end plates for cables, connectors, switches, etc. Printing and silk-screening services all for the addition of text, logos, and graphics onto both the enclosure and end plates, to allow the end user to easily identify the product, and to allow the final product to look more elegant.
