Multipurpose, Thick Walls, Water-Tight Options
Product Features
- Rugged, electronic instrument enclosures ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards.
- Heavy-duty thick-wall design has an average wall thickness of 0.13" (3.3mm).
- Stocked in black and light grey with matte textured finish.
- Standard versions are moulded in flame retardant ABS plastic which carries a UL flammability rating of 94-V0.
- On standard and water-tight versions, lid is secured with four M3 x 0.5 - 0.71" (18mm) long Philips machine screws threaded into integral brass bushings.
- Economy versions are moulded in general purpose ABS plastic.
- Economy versions utilize self-tapping screws into plastic posts.
- Water-tight versions have been tested to and meet IP66 ratings.
- Standard and economy versions are rated IP54, but can be upgraded to IP66 with gaskets and screws with o-rings.
Assembly Hardware
- Replacement machine screws for standard versions are sold in packs of 100 - part number: 1594MS100.
- Replacement self-tapping screws for economy versions are sold in packs of 100 - part number: 1594TS100.
- Replacement machine screws with o-rings for water-tight versions are sold in packs of 100 - part number: 1594WMS100.

All customisation work is undertaken by the relevant supplier, (some smaller production runs are done by utilizing an outside contractor) at their own manufacturing facilities. These services include milling or punching holes and slots into the enclosure or end plates for cables, connectors, switches, etc. Printing and silk-screening services all for the addition of text, logos, and graphics onto both the enclosure and end plates, to allow the end user to easily identify the product, and to allow the final product to look more elegant.
