Product Features
- Rugged, die-cast aluminium electronic instrument enclosure.
- Die-cast aluminium is tough yet easy to machine.
- Available in natural vibra finish and in textured black powder coat.
- Unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
- Painted version is painted with tough satin black polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, Black screws are included to enhance the assembled appearance.
- Lap joint construction protection against access of dust and splashing water.
- M3.5 x 0.6 x 12mm long stainless steel, Philips head, machine screws secure lid into factory tapped holes.
- Designed to meet IP54 without a gasket or IP66 with a gasket. IP67 upgraded gaskets are available.
- No internal ribs for easy installation of connectors without interference or additional milling.
- Low side wall draft angle (2-degrees or less) for easy PC board mounting.
- Add 0.16" (4mm) to enclosure depth for lid.

- Replacement screws for the unpainted series - 1550MS100 - pack of 100.
- Replacement screws for the black series - 1550MS100BK - pack of 100.
- Tamper-resistant screws for the unpainted series - 1550MS50T - pack of 50.
- Tamper-resistant screws for the black series - 1550MS50TBK - pack of 50.
- Driver bit for tamper-proof screws - SCDRIVET15-2.
Gasket Kits - IP66
- Each kit includes two pre-formed economical EVA foam gaskets.
- Gaskets include adhesive backing for easy installation on the lid.
- Designed to meet IP66 (with properly installed gasket and lid screws torqued at 55 cN.m).
- EVA foam gasket is rated up to +65°C (+149°F).

Gasket Kits - IP67 (Upgrade)
- Each kit includes two pre-formed silicone gaskets.
- Gaskets include adhesive backing for easy installation on the lid.
- Tested to meet IP67 (with properly installed gasket and lid screws torqued at 55 cN.m).
- Silicone gasket has a temperature rating of -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to +302°F).

Product Customisation Options
What makes KGA Enclosures Ltd different from most other larger distributors is that we can offer full customisation services on all enclosures and accessories. All customisation work is undertaken by the relevant supplier, (some smaller production runs are done by utilizing an outside contractor) at their own manufacturing facilities. These services include milling or punching holes and slots into the enclosure or end plates for cables, connectors, switches, etc. Printing and silk-screening services all for the addition of text, logos, and graphics onto both the enclosure and end plates, to allow the end user to easily identify the product, and to allow the final product to look more elegant.
